QatarEnergy has extended its force majeure suspension of liquefied natural gas deliveries to Italy’s Edison until the end of December, the Italian utility said Tuesday.
The extension affects three additional cargoes, prolonging disruption beyond the previously indicated early-December deadline.
Deliveries were first suspended in April following trade disruptions and damage to Qatar’s LNG facilities linked to the Iran conflict.
Edison’s long-term contract covers 6.4 billion cubic metres annually, equivalent to approximately 10% of Italy’s gas consumption.
